Our Policies
We want daycare to be a pleasant experience for everyone involved. To ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs, owners, and staff, the following rules will be enforced. (Read waiver for full details)
For Dogs
NO aggressive or reactive dogs. Daycare is intended for social dogs that can quickly and easily socialize in groups of dogs in new environments without fear, aggression or other reactivity toward dogs or people.
Your dog must pass the initial behavioral assessment and continue to meet the requirements. WE ARE NOTHING LIKE OTHER DOG DAYCARES. If your dog is used to a crazy free-for-all playstyle with other dogs and gets easily overstimulated and does not adapt to our structured program, our daycare is not a good fit. We will provide training resources and discuss options and encourage you to work with a trainer who can assist your dog with their needs. We will consider another assessment in the future.
Dogs must be kennel/crate trained and can adapt to a daycare environment without excessive whining, barking or destruction.
Documentation of the following vaccines and tests is required:
Distemper (DAPP)
Bordetella
Rabies
Fecal test (every year)
Leptospirosis (required in 2026)
Routine flea/tick prevention
Puppies must have completed the series of all required vaccines listed above. There is no minimum age requirement.
We also recommended dogs be vaccinated for Influenza (H3N2 & H3N8), and Lyme disease, as well as have an annual heartworm test.
We will use training tools such as slip leads, crates, treats, vibrate collars, eCollars (for those trained), cots, and more as needed.
All dogs must be in good health with no open cuts, injuries, or infections and must be symptom free from illness before returning to daycare.
All dogs must be spayed or neutered by 15 months of age to continue daycare.
Collars and harnesses will be removed during daycare. Quick release (snap) collars and leash must be provided for drop off procedures. No retractable leashes.
Lunches must be a single meal/serving in a plastic container with a lid and labeled with your dog’s name. No bags or glass. We do not provide bowls. A $3 service charge will be applied if your dog is 10 months or more or does not have written documentation from their veterinarian stating lunch is needed for medical reasons.
For Humans
All owners must use a leash during drop off and pick up activities and have control over your dog during these times. Do not allow your dog to greet other people or dogs.
Morning drop off is 6:30 am - 9 am. We will not accept dogs past 9 am.
Morning half day pick up is 11:45 am - 12 pm. If your dog is not picked up by 12 pm, your dog will be required to stay the remainder of the day until full day pick up. A full day of daycare will be charged.
Full day pick up is 4 pm - 6 pm.
Late pick up: A fee of $15 will be charged at 6:05 pm and an additional $1 per minute thereafter. Please call if you are going to be late. At 6:30 pm, your dog will be boarded overnight and an additional boarding fee of $75 will be charged.
A no-show or cancellation within 24 hours of the scheduled reservation will be charged the full day daycare rate.
It is the responsibility of the pet parent to restrict their dog from daycare if they are ill, injured or had a major change in behavior. A dog will be sent home if these issues arise. Any illness, medication change, behavioral change, injury, etc. must be reported to DDD.
We are closed on New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday), The week around Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (exact dates TBD). We will email, text or post on social media if we close due to inclement weather.
